“ Driving around Dundas Ontario on a Sunday looking for a cool place for brunch us to a interesting little corner called Jax Sweet Shoppe. A smaller eatery with 6-7 tables and a walk up counter. Pies, Scones, brownies line the glass display along with an ice cream counter. You would think from the name that they only sell sweets, but they have a great little breakfast menu that is all locally sourced and prepared. We had french toast and a waffle breakfast sandwich. The food was tasty and the portions were great. We picked up some baked goods on our way out (how couldn't we? ) The staff was friendly and the service was good. 5 stars ”
“ Excellent selection of breakfast, lunch and sweets! Will definitely be coming back to enjoy some of the baking and ice cream. The breakfast was excellent, especially the Smoked Salmon Eggs Benedict. I ordered some coffee that wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either. Overall a very nice place to sit down and enjoy. ”
“ A casual and cosy old-fashioned ice-cream/desserts/candies and diner. Usually we just have ice cream but when my granddaughters came to visit, it was a chance to try their pancakes. We weren't disappointed. The 3 generously sized fluffy pancakes were served with the freshest berries (honestly, some of the nicest raspberries I have tasted in a long time). My granddaughter asked if the pancakes could be served with "nutella" and a generous bowl was served on the side, along with whipped cream and maple syrup. Hopefully, I will get back for more Great, friendly, cheerful, small town service. It's definitely worth a visit. ”

I had the breakfast grilled cheese (outstanding) and my wife had the Belgian waffle with fruit. The waffle was nice and crispy, very sweet. The best waffle I've ever had! “ Had a fantastic time here with my kids. Wonderful classic ice cream presentation! HIGHLY recommend trying their enormous pies, shared a slice of key lime and it was incredible.. especially the crust! The creativity and high quality of baked goods is very evident. I want to try the scones next time I visit! Environment is fantastic with a very retro feel, and very friendly staff and owner. We will be back! ”
“ This place is so lovely! The atmosphere and esthetic are so warm and welcoming, it's like a 50s diner trapped in time. All the ingredients are locally sourced, you can really taste the difference and the care that's out into each dish. I've had the traditional breakfast, waffles and pancakes so far and they were all delicious! They also have some baked goods, all baked on site by their chef that are top notch. It's the best homemade style of brownies and cookies. I have a series allergy and the chef came out and talked me through which items have it, then the lady at the counter made sure to create a list in case anyone else comes in with the same allergy. You really don't see that kind of care in many places. The service is great and everyone is so friendly. This place has become a weekly staple for me and my family. ”
